About/ Qui Suis-Je

7100 Islands, this is third world.

That means a place where we discover/rediscover traditional crafts coming from southeast Asia, worked into functional objects for our life today.

The journey is led by Apol Massebieau, the woman behind the brand La Pomme, from which she launched many crafty best-sellers. Her works have been featured in sites like decor8, Apartment Therapy, Design Sponge, and Poppytalk, as well as in offline media.  After many years being subdued and working with French linen and cotton, with 7100 Islands she finally unveils her inner maximalist.

For the first collection, she uses abaca ethically sourced from the Philippines in the form of T’nalak woven by the T’bolis of Mindanao; and hinabol, made by the Higaonon people.
